Is synthetic oil louder?
I was just talking to a buddy of mine and was telling him that i was think about switching to mobil 1 v-twin. He said that he tried it and hated it. he said it made the motor noise even louder? he said you could here everything? anybody get any comment son this?

well not the oil itself is loud, maybe i should put it another way... he said that with the synthetic, you can hear more motor noise than with dino oil? does that make better sense?

Several of the people I know that swear by synthetic also swear that it makes the motor quieter. I personally have not been able to tell a difference but I guess that means it didn't make the motor louder either.

Thats a new one on me.I use Amsoil and have found it outperforms syn3 and mobil1.

I went from the factory oil at 1000 mi to syn 3. I tried Amsoil next. It ran quieter. Then I tried Mobile 1. I've been the happiest with Mobile 1. The bike runs quieter on Mobile 1 than Amsoil. I've even found a Harley dealer that sells Mobile 1 and will put it in on my 10,000 mi.service.

Can you be a little more specific regarding the Amsoil. I am currently running Syn3 in my 05 Electra Glide Classic and was thinking of switching to t he Amsoil. How exactly does Amsoil outperform Syn3 and Mobil 1.
