Man what a pain in the butt.
I allowed some (so-called bike mechanic) to install an; open oil filter breather that in put under the outside of my '85 Electra Glide some many, many yrs. ago.
I park the bike and its LEAKS from the oil filter thing a ma ding.
Question(s)
How would I go about dis manteling these two fender please.
Hmmm....85 EG.....What air cleaner is on it? If it has the stock air cleaner base plate, you should be able to just put it back to stock. If you would rather just replace the AC with something that works well, the Arlen Ness Big Sucker works great and does not leak any oil. The PCV breathers go strait from the head through a hollow bolt and then through a hole in the AC backing plate that comes out at the throat of the carb. For a little more money you can look at the J.E.T. Airstack. Very similar but uses a stack that is supposed to add power and is about double the price.

I am not sure if they make the BS for your year. Good Luck
If I'm understanding right you have a separate filter for your breather? Some oil mist will collect in the filter (nature of the beast) so may have to clean out more religiously esp. it is mounted lower than the AC. Are you being precise when adding oil? Overfill will also cause more oil in the filter. How's the carb adjustments? If it's "spitting" a lot before warm-up or after, than adjustment may be required.
What he said! LOL
If you route the hoses coming off the heads into a T and then route the single off the T up and between the cylinders (over the intake), you should be able to keep the breather at the end of the hose at least level with or above the breather port on the head.
My personal opinion is that the PCV attachment is more than just EPA compliance. That vacuum helps the engines rings seal better and relieves the pressure that is always varying in the crankcase.
If your bike has the stock heads on it, your bike should be a crankcase breather not from the heads. If your talking about oil blowing out the crank vent hose at the lower rear of the cases, which was a common thing on older motors, you probably need to clean out the oil pump and reseat, the check ball that allows oil to seep past and collect in the crankcase. Then on startup it blows out the hose on the ground. My buddy used to just put a pan under his and when he started it oil would come out and he just poured it back in the motor.,
