Hi guys. I am a first time bike owner and Harley owner of a 2009 Heritage Softail Classic. I know I will be due for an oil change after my initial 1,000 mi. break in period. I have been using AMSOIL in my truck and my wife's car for about a year and am very pleased with the results.
Any tips about AMSOIL in my bike. Please share your experience and opinions.
I have been running amsoil in my 07 superglide since my first service i did at 1,000 miles it will be two years old in june 09 and has 25,000 miles on it and i have been running Amsoil 20/50 in the primary and crankcase, and Amsoil severe gear in the tranny 75/140 i believe it is. Works great and runs great also using the amsoil crome filters. The tranny can go at least every other oil change as mine comes out like new at 3,000 miles and like new at 5 or 6,000 miles. I change my oil every 3 to 4k.
As for oil on this site its like anywhere you will get all kinds of answers as everyone has there preference and brand.
i have been using amsoil in my bike for 2 yrs....love that stuff..i use 20-50 in the engine.70-140 in the trans and started using Atf in the primary....
Amsoil all the way!!!!!!!!!!!! 20-50 engine , 10-40 primary and 75-90 gear lube for tranny. Rings should be seated by now, dump in your synthetic oil. You should be good to go.
