top end noise

top end noise

I have a 06 ultra. When cruising at highway speeds when i excellerate slightly i get a lot of top end noise, i was wondering if i switch to mobile 1 if that might help. Running on harley oil now. 2500 miles on the bike.....stage 1 with s/e performance mufflers and harley download. Runs great otherwise. Thanks in advance for any info.

The TC motor clatters some under hard accel. Mostly valve train noise. You didn't say where you are or what the temps are running BUT...... Mobile 1 helped mine a bit. At least it seemed to when I switched from Syn3. I would think the same would be true with HD Dino oil.

I get the same thing with syn3......so go to the Mobil1Vtwin20w50 and it should help. When you get over 3000 miles you can use redline 20w50 or 20w60 synthetic.
