The oil drain plug uses a #8 Danco from Home Depot. 9/16" O.D. x 3/8" I.D. c 3/32" The part number at Home depot is 96725. There was link the other day where to order 100 for $2 but I did not bookmark it. This is for the engine oil drain plugs and the transmission drain plug. The Transmission dipstick uses a Danco #13. All found in the plumbing section.

-013 is the cross reference size for HD pn#11105. McMaster-Carr has pn#9452K57 which is a bag of 100 for $2.47 and it is a Buna-N o-ring which will work just fine. It is best to get a Viton o-ring and McMaster has pn#1201T24 which is a bag of 50 for $8.20 and these are the vitons. HD now wants $.55 for each 11105 so for 50 of those, it would be $27.50!

All 3 drain plugs (at least on a Softail) are the same. The O-ring you quoted is 1 size off. A #8 might be able to be stretched to fit, but it's not correct. You need a #41 Danco from Home Depot (9/16" O.D. x 7/16" I.D. x 1/16") - p/n 96755.

does anyone know the size of the smaller o-ring? my FLH it takes 2 of the bigger ones (7/16 ID x 9/16 od) and one of the smaller ones. my sportster just takes the smaller one. the 2 local shops closest to me one wants .75 ea. and the other one wants 1.00 ea. so i'm headed to fastenal to buy a bag of each.

Just wondering what the difference may be between these two o-rings? One is $7.72 for a pack of 100 and the other is $8.20 for a pack of 50

The more expensive ones are a higher heat range but I have been using the cheaper ones with no problems.
