Default Where did it go?

Bike has been in hybernation since October. Out of curiosity, I thought I'd check the oil. Last I saw in October, it was just where it should be on the dipstick. Checked it yesterday and not a drop on the stick or on the floor. I can only assume its all sitting in the crankcase. I have never noticed this before. Is this normal? If I fire it up as it is, will that cause any problems or is there a procedure for this circumstance? Bike is mint with 8000 miles on it, fresh oil change every season. Wtf?

Thx,

Vinny

It's migrated from the oil tank from sitting. Fire it up, it should be fine.

Fire it up, let it run for a few minutes, turn it off, and check it again. You should be fine, unless of course it's those damn Arab's stealing our oil again!

Thanks guys. Suspected as much. Wasn't sure if there would be a pressure problem by firing it up with it all in there.
