someone posted here (one of the senior folks on the forum) a while back about the o-rings that are used for the oil drain plug, the tranny drain plug, and the primary drain plug in respect to what size they were, and where to get them in bulk. Anyone know? I can't seem to find that post anymore.
In addition if anyone knows where to get the gaskets in bulk that would be appreciated too.
I change my oils religiously every 1500 - 2000 miles, all three holes (yeah i know but hey whatever floats your boat) and tired of paying dealer prices for these things....
My 09 Streetglide uses the same O Ring on all 3 oil plugs.
I went to Graingers and ordered a bag of 100 for about $4,00 tax in.
There ordering information is:
McMasterCarr # is Buna-N O-Ring AS568A Dash Number 013 9452K57
Better be careful if you don't use genuine HD o-rings you might void your warranty
Man HD has you nervous, they could not ever tell where the O ring came from.
HD sources parts come from all over the place and it usually the cheapest bid.
I do keep the dated receipts for oil and oil filters as an audit track to show I did the work. I in fact do not use Harley oil filters, for the same price I prefer the J&P premium filter, it has a magnet in it and filters to 10 microns where as the Harley filter is only 5 microns

The spec for the oil filter is 5 microns for the TC88> engines. The EVO motors used 10 microns. 5 microns is smaller particles so better filtration than a 10 micron filter. So, I think you have it backwards.
Thanks much; I ordered and received 100 of these for $12 and change.
Now, does anyone know where to get the clutch cover rubber gasket in bulk? This is not the flat gasket, but the rubber one that fits in the groove of the clutch inspection cover.
Thanks,
