my name is michael and i just recently picked up a 1961 duo-glide. been tinkering with harley's for a handful of years but mainly newer models. have always loved the old stuff but could never find one in a decent price range and condition. anyways just a couple of quick questions. 1) the bike has an oil cooler upfront and i am curious as to if i really need it. have been told yes and no. i live in arkansas so summers get pretty damn hot, but i don't really "slow ride" or play in parade lines. 2) i have also read that if the bike has a belt drive primary that it is a "dry" clutch(which someone has put an aftermarket belt drive on, but still has oil leak/seepage in the primary area). could the plug have backed off? thanks for any help yall can pass on.
Hi Michael from the UK and welcome to HDF. We have a section in here dedicated to Pans, where you should get more help than in here. I suggest you call over and see what they are up to!
