I warned you guys that it will be cold this time of year. Watch the shady spots in the road (BLACK ICE) and dress warm. It gets mighty chilly up there when the sun starts down. Wish I could make it but we are going to Vale, Oregon the week of the 12th to visit family friends. Going through Alturas and Burns. I'll let you know about weather when we get back.
Will pack all the heated, warm clothes Ihave........looking like the Michelin Tire Guy!!! Packing sunscreen and a tank top just in case the global warming take a turn for the better[8D]
27 days! I'm so fired up about this, Its going to feel like 90 LOL.
I got off my butt today and installed all the parts I had on hand. If i can keep from buying more, all I will need to do is pack & then am ready to go.
Yeah, under 4 weeks. Weather looks like its warming up. Supposed to be up to 80 the middle of next week but mid 70s on each end. Lows around 40.
Like my nylonFXRG. I took the liner out and wear my electric jacket liner in its place. That wayI have it if I need it. The only thing I don't like about the FXRG is that its hard to pack unless you take the back armor out. At least it is in my sissy bar bag.

Ride Safe.
I have that same problem with my switchback jacket too.[:@] Got a tourpack rack to tie the jackets down thinking of something to carry them in.
Yah, I don't like to look like a gypsy when I ride. I am kind of a neatnik so I have to have everything packed just so. Used to drive my ex wife crazy. Bugs me when I see someone on a long ride and everything is just tied on here and there and piled high. I put a luggage rack on last fall and have never used it. Thinking about getting a waterproof bag to tie on there. I can usually get by with my sissy bar bag and roll bag but once in a while I would like to take a little more gear, like for Shasta.
26 days and counting.
Pack a suitcase for allthe gear and have it shipped to the Woodsman (lol)....prepared for all kinds of weather and festivites!! I tend to pack more than I need...
