Whats up Joe, I was on your thread on the other site, decided to come over here and see if there was a similar thread on this site. Hopefully we can get some interest in and and organized some rides.
Hey Joe, I remember that thread when I had my Sportster.
My favorite ride is probably out to Callville Bay. Since I live on that side of town, it easy and quick for me to be at Lake Mead within just a few minutes.
Callville bay is a good ride, my favorite is down to Oatman though, a good long day ride. I think this year I want to go more north, into Utah and explore some more up there. I would also like to do a Death Valley ride before it gets too hot.
One nice short ride is south on SR 95 to Nelson's Landing. It dead ends at the river, but the old mining town of Nelson still stands and is worth visiting. Then go south to Searchlight. Have lunch and from there take the Joshua Tree Highway across to Nipton then to I-15 south of the Cali/Nev stateline. Go north to SR 161 into Goodsprings, then to Sandy Valley or back to Vegas.
I have not did that Nelson ride yet, sounds pretty good. I have been to Nipton several times. On the way back from Nipton we usually stop in at the Pioneer bar.
Those are all great rides, dont forget Valley of Fire, also a good ride.
Lots of people from Vegas on here, I never see anyone else from Vegas on here.
I am also looking towards Death Valley very soon, should be good after all the rain thats been around.
