Default Using a jump starter

For those of you using a NOCO jump starter (i.e. GB40, etc.) with the boost eyelet cable w/-X-Connect adapter (GBC007). Does the eyelet cable include a protective cover to be used when nothing is connected to it? One of the pictures on their website implies that it might but I don't see anything that specifically states that a protective cover is included. I pinged the NOCO folks via their website but have not received a response yet.
NOCO - Boost Eyelet Cable w/X-Connect Adapter - GBC007

Thanks!

Mine does. It includes a tethered cap on the end of the cable.

That said, I doubt it is truly waterproof in really poor conditions.

Probably not essential, but I have put an uninflated (obviously) small balloon over the end of mine just to be sure. It's sacrificial, so if I ever need to use the jump start port I will just rip it off. I guess you could also use a condom if you were that way inclined.

Here's a pic of another of the cables that I have lying around waiting for delivery of a new bike....

Thanks!!!

I just received the following response from the NOCO folks:
Yes all of our connections come with a water-resistant cover.

I wouldn't really call it water resistant, but it's probably good enough for 90% of folks, 90% of the time. It's not properly sealed (no o-rings), is quite easy to put on or take off. Hence the balloon.
