Shovelhead 3 1/2 Cylinders
Im changing the wheels out to 4 1/4 standard Shovelhead 8-" and want to sue the 80" cylinders but do not wish to machine my cases to fit the 3 1/2 Cylinders.
tks
61 pan motor is a side oil pinion shaft and flat side cam cover 3 - 31 /32 stroke
80 inch shovel wheels 4 - 1/4 stroke will be end oiling pinion shaft and a cone cam cover that has a provision for the end oil pinion the flat side does not have
61 pan is an internal oiling system - the top end oil pressure goes through the cylinders from the block and into the heads
shovel cylinders have no holes in the jugs and no you can drill them different casting

in my book T&O 4 1/4 wheels are 1956 to 1969 <<< might be
they no longer make pistons for that combo 3 7/16 bore - 4 1/4 stroke in any size
stroker plates was a no go in an original frame, the engine height with the jug top step is right against the frame to try and install or remove the head and sliding in a complete motor maybe, with grinding the bottom of the frame - but removing it as a complete is the only way to fix anything
then your making an intake manifold, as it no longer is a buyable piece, along with the top motor mount and then forget the original exhaust it no longer even comes close
