Location of mousetrap on down tube

Thanks Lads , Mousetrap was too low on frame, raised it to get it in same plane as clutch actuating lever, (as suggested)followed Manual for setup and all is good. Over in England helping cousin with his Pan. Next task troubleshoot charging system.

Disconnect gen wires and polarize the unit by neg to gen body and plus arc the field term - if the gen is off you can neg the body and hold the plus on the field it should motor the gen by spinning the armature - this tells you its good

Pretty familiar with gennys from my former work and iron Sportys Dismantled gen. to clean and check brushes, flashed the field and put back in. Discovered ground on solid state rectifier was not good ( was attached to battery box which is isolated from frame by the rubber mounts. ) charging system now working.
