A pic would help but based on what you said I will add my .02

The 121-35 is a casting number. Does the 3*3 appear as if it is on a raised bar or plate? If so that is actually a cast number as well and indicated it was made in March of 53. These cases were used from 1940-1955. It should have a boss on its top side situated between the starter side and the shifter cover hole. This boss is drilled and threaded fir the vent plug which was transferred from the starter cover to the case.

Cylinders A=January, B=February, etc. The next is the day of the month and the third number is the year. And do not worry that the parts are not stamped "exactly" the same month and day. What is important for restoration (if you are going that way) is that they are the same year. Remember MoCo made a lot of parts up and pulled them off the shelf as needed. So with those cylinder date codes we can most likely assume (a dangerous word) they were pulled off the shelf at the same time and assembled for your motor at the same time.
