Question tranny

Hello everyone, changing from tank shift top to ratch shift top, will the shift drum line up or will i need to readjust the shifting forks or is there something else that i will have to do? thanks

If you have access to or you have this tool already I'd do it It's called a shifter fork gauge Easy to use and does the job Cost approx $ 70

I definately would use the gauge. If you try to guess chances are that it will be hard to shift or it may jump out of gear.
