I spend most of my time over on shovelhead forum .but my brother is working on putting tank shifter back on bike . it turns out we are missing the shifter arm clevis (trans) . where would be a good source to locate this missing part
or maybe a picture of it . thanks
Twin2...having a bit of difficulty in understanding what you are referring to here. My def of a clevis is basically an unthreaded bolt that requires some type of retaining clip or cotter pin rather than a nut/washer to secure it.
Have a 49 that I will take some pics of tomorrow and post. Not sure what/where you are referring to. The shift linkage is all OEM/NOS except for cotter pins.
