Default Tank protector?

Is there any sort of like clear stuff you can put on your tank to protect it from scratches? I know on sport bikes, you can put tank guards on top and the grips on the sides. Just trying to keep this thing as pristine as possible.

Sure. It's done all the time. Contact you local 3M graphics installer. They would have the clear film to lay over areas. Usually along flat curved areas or plain flat areas. Covering a gas tank with extreme curved and bulbous areas might be a challenge though. But ask the experts who install graphics as a livelihood.

The best defense is wax. I had a friend that had a "tank bib" on his bike. It caught a bunch of dirt n dust so he had to remove it frequently, clean and wax the tank. Eventually you could see where it had rubbed the tank due to contamination. Like I said, keep it clean and wax. I'm sure others may have options?

Use a good wax and be careful. It won't get scratched from riding, just normal wear and tear from road grit that you can polish out. What about the fenders and the rest of the bike, like the exhaust, wheels and frame? You don't want to hurt their feelings by ignoring them and only caring for the tank.
I like a good clean bike, too. But I realized a long time ago that it's unrealistic to try and keep it flawless. Unless it's never ridden.

Yeah all good valid points. I guess coming from the sport bike world, much is plastic and doesn't chip or scratch as easily. If I can find some of this clear 3M stuff, I'd apply it to both fenders and the tank, maybe halfway around the fork tubes too. But I digress, I shall see how it goes. Man this thing is so comfy! Absolutely love riding it.
