Aztec orange Help!
Hi Fellow Riders! I just signed up today and need an answer if someone can help. I can get the aztec orange paint for my sportster,but I can't get it to match. Does anyone know the basecoat color? I've tryed white and gray. I think I even tried silver. Nothing comes close to the factory. I look forward to being on this site alot! I'm glad I found it! Thanks!
Couple of questions, what company's paint did you use? Did you get it from HD? Is it PPG or is it another company. PPG recommends putting it over a dark gray basecoat.
And many factors can affect the way a color looks, including how it was sprayed, such as light, medium or heavy coats, how many coats were sprayed, things like that.

Thanks for the reply! I got the paint at HD I have not tryed dark gray primer,but I have done light,medium,and heavy coats. I guess that would'nt matter if I'm using the wrong base coat anyway! Thanks for the info and have a great day! Rick
