Thunder header powder coated problem.
So I decided to send my thunder header exhaust to have it hi temp powder coated. When I got it back it was more gray than black. It was flat black cause they said any gloss in the finish would burn off.
Well I installed the exhaust fired up the bike and idled it for a couple of minutes. The top front exhaust started to smoke and look shiny. Then it bubbled up a little. Any ideas on the issue? Any help is appreciated

Smitty i am sorry to say that is not 100% accurate... we high temp coat heaters
Todd, i am not really sure what could have happened here there are so many factors that can come into play. high temp is good though 1200* and needs to see +600* to final cure... here are some of the headers we have done in the past
whenever we do pipes/shields we are always sure to let the custom know it is at their own risk as there are way to many outside factors that come into play with pipe/shield coatings.
we do them and have had great results.
