Need HELP! Just installed the Baker 630-67 Compensator kit along with the Attitude Chain adjuster on my 2015 Ultra Classic LOW. Followed instructions to the "T". My primary cover had the casted oil deflector so per the instructions, I took my grinder out and removed it. Easy enough! I completely removed my stock compensator and clutch basket. I removed the chain and reinstalled the clutch basket. I installed the Baker Compensator following each step of the way and yes I installed the long bolt with spacers and torqued it down to 12 Ft pounds. Got to the chain alignment and I was off .057 of an inch. Has to be within .030! Called Baker and was advised to send the motor extension shaft and they could mill it down .030 to bring it within specs or I could have it down locally. Took it to a friend and he did it as I watched. .030 removed. Came home, installed it again to check chain alignment and got a " bingo" .028! Put the bike together and filled the primary. Started the bike and got a grinding noise. Drained the primary and found metal flakes in the fluid. The hex bolt is rubbing the inside of the Primary. I have the low model and the Primary cove has the narrow-profile. Has anyone else had this problem. Would the regular profile cover work? Wanted some ideas before calling Baker. Thanks

Reason: Part number was not correct
I don't have any experience with baker products but i seem to recall other post with this problem.did you replace the rotor???you did not mention that.i think the rotor has to be replaced with all or some of the baker compensator.i may be wrong on this, hopefully some one with experience on this topic will chime in for ya.
Thanks for the reply 1340. My 2015 came with the correct rotor (part #30041-08A). Changing the rotor were for bike that had an integral compensator spring cup built onto the rotor.
I figured the kit came with it but wasn't sure.I know folks who don't replace it have had alignment problems.Baker i understand has great customer service,i'm sure they will figure out your problem.Good luck.
We haven't run into this yet, are you sure the bolt didn't back out? I have a local dealer that did an install on the narrow primary and it cleared. If you want you can send me some photos of the primary. mark@bakerdrivetrain.com Could just be a thick casting as well.
Mark, I found a used primary cover for the standard ultra classic off of ebay. When it arrives, I will install it and run the bike. This should fix the problem. I will let you know how it goes! As for the bolt, I applied red Loctite and cranked it down to 140 ft pounds and let it set for 24 hours. Should be in there good! The only thing I did not follow along with in my service manual is the stock compensator called for 175 ft pounds of final torque and I followed the instructions for Baker and did a final torque of 140! Was I correct in doing this? Thanks for the reply, Paul

Hello all.
I'm trying to source a Baker compensator here in western Canada. All I have found are in the US.
I own a 2008 Road King FLHP 103 CID
Basically needing part number of compensator; and as I understand, part number for rotor to accompany the compensator...pricing and a source here in Canada . Any other items I may need or processes please advise?
Bike is in shop for upgrades and stock compensator is showing typical wear. Stock compensator is obsolete with the SE as the HD option. Did the research and the Baker solution seems to be the logical choice....
