Mark tks for the link, however that one is for the pinion gear, I need the idler gear.
the one that goes between the motor shaft, and the drive clutch.
can get one with the clutch for 90 bucks, but don't need the clutch.

I the dealer doesn`t have it, you might consider a starter rebuild shop, they probably have plenty of parts donor starters...
It still looks to be available from this online HD dealer, item 26.

This is a common automotive starter we are discussing, not a one of a kind unavailable unit...
A starter shop will have a scrap pile of these starters, and it will be easy to find a usable gear...
