Default 1973 shovalhead clutch question

Hello I am new to site I have a question I just took a 1973 shovalhead in trade , just changed oil and I was wondering is this bike a dry clutch system or wet ? There is only a very little oil in primary case just barely covers bottom should there be more ? I have the manual but it's missing a couple pages so I couldn't tell what setup I have but then again I'm 65 years old maybe not reading it right ,it runs great just thought I would change oil to be on safe side not knowing when previous owner did . Thanks in advance for any help.

My 1974 FX, bought new, was dry clutch. The primary is dry-sump, meaning that engine oil is fed to the chain, then pumped back out. It can be a challenge to keep the chaincase air-tight, so the oil doesn't build up and smother the clutch! It is also not unusual for owners to delete the oiling system and go to a wet clutch, although I managed to keep mine as original.

yep, mr. brown is correct, seems my brother-in-law went to wet as he had issues with oil getting onto the plates. i remember working on it as i bought it from him and saw wet. my pan was dry. my bad since i still have the service info, thanks for the correction!

I took the bike in on trade for a car I sold, the guy I got it from gave me original 1973 manual , I am missing the pages that explain the clutch info like is it a dry setup or wet , I did change the oil and looked in primary first and there is barely enough oil to cover bottom of primary , I was under the impression that there should be enough oil to reach bottom of clutch assembly. There is that little oil on bottom of primary so I was assuming it’s a wet setup
