Default Stuck clutch hub

I searched, and I can find plenty of evo and shovelhead stuck hubs but I’ve got a stuck clutch hub in a 15 street glide with a 120r. Do I need the Jim’s universal puller or some other tool? I thought the whole dang thing was supposed to come off easy with the compensator sprocket/chain when you take the compensator t70 bolt and then the 1 3/16th lefty nut off the hub shaft. I even pulled the ring out and spacers so I could see. Help!

I wouldn't call it easy. The splines have a tight spec and it must be pulled almost perfectly in line to the main shaft.

Leather gloves, rock it while you are pulling, whack it with a light plastic mallet a couple of times in a couple of different spots it will break free if the splines are intact.

A slide hammer would do the trick. You could probably rent one at one of the local auto parts stores.

Don`t use a slide hammer on the threaded posts.

If you do, make a video...

Watch what this clown did...

Ruined the hub because he was too cheap to spend 45 dollars on the puller (this is a tapered hub, not a modern splined type).

Wow just checked out that video obviously this guy doesn't know what the hell he's doing. So I guess that goes to say if you don't know what you're doing leave it the hell alone bring it to your local indy...

If you listen, the guy says this is the second time he had done this job, the first time...he broke the hub also.

Likely a know it all mechanic that would never trust the hacks at the dealership.

no big hammer used. I was able to pull it, it was just a little more stubborn than I thought. Splines still look good.

Looks like the vise grips are his go to tool LOL Getting back to the op's question, they must make a puller, no? Mine's tapered.
