Mine still spins fine but won't retract fully back and just sort of freewill on the clutch gear. I haven't taken it off yet.
If you havent taken the starter off yet, you might want to do that before you start looking for a Bendix. What year and what bike is it? You cant really troubleshoot till you get to the root of the problem.
