I have an 09 FLH model bike, I need to replace the compensator again!
Aside from price, what are the tradeoffs of the Man O war vs the Baker?
I'd prefer to do this one last time.
TIA
Get the Baker if you dont want to deal with it again. The Dark horse is made to be serviced, and more geared towards more aggressive riding/ racing than street use IMO, and youll have to replace the cushions in it eventually.
At the end of the day, a compensator is a wear/ service item no matter which one you get unless you get a solid one for racing. But the Baker will have the longest service life and be most trouble free for a street driven bike IMO.

If you don't want to deal with it again, get rid of it and run a solid sprocket. Problem solved.
I too need a new compensator on my 2008 FLHX with 66k miles on it. I am leaning toward the Man-O-War as a local HD performance shop recommended it last time I dynoed there.
The PO did alot of performance upgrades on it before I bought it (113" hi comp, throttle body, injectors, T-man cams, SE tuner, blah blah blah).
I am pretty sure that he swapped out the original one with a performance on. Can anyone identify this compensator or tensioner? Screaming Eagle?

Looks like SE unit I have that took a dump.
And a stock adjuster, junk also, imo

The SE comp uses a Torx bolt, at least on the later 103's.
Battery is newer, less than a year old and tested all good. It starts fantastic cold its the hot restarts, can't find neutral and sometimes 2nd, clanging noises that is the problem.
