Primary/Transmission/Driveline/ClutchFind answers to general powertrain, primary and transmission. Have clutch issues and need suggestions? Post them here.
@Steeldragon1 it sounds like the clutch needs to be adjusted to accommodate for the extra width in the plates. No biggie but it depends on what year and model you have for the process of making the adjustments.
@Leimy I have a 2017 Road Glide and I just put the Barnett +1 Kevlar plates, Baker compensator and Baker armored attitude adjuster chain tensioner in while I was attending to some other issues. The only other item in the clutch I replaced was the clutch hub nut as it is supposed to be single use only and cheap enough to not risk any problems down the line. The kit comes with heavier springs and I was not able to tell much of a difference in the garage but I sure felt it in traffic! Maybe look at a new compensator ramp or a sprocket while you have it apart, that's another straight forward install while the primary is open.
