I think the comp on my '15 Limited is on its way out. Its making a clunking noise every now and then, especially at shutdown. There's a constant "whirring" type sound that increases with RPM as well but that might be chain related?
What has had best results for replacements? Ive read a few threads with parts suggestions but they were 8 or so years old, I know the new rage is the M8 but has there been no upgrades for Twin cam comps since then?
The latest compensators for the m8 are interchangeable (and used for replacement) on all twin cams. They are reliable and function properly. You must buy a new bolt to go with it.

Sorry but they won't fit.. The offset on the sprocket is different.. I bought one to see if it could.. Many of the parts are the same tho.. Springs for one.
One thing that can be done is to use the PEEK washer in place of the needle bearing. This will dampen the rattle but you really need to remove about 0.020" Off the stack-up to to maintain alignment and add a spacer to the spring stack. I wacked it off the motor spacer.. You don't need to replace the bolt if not reused too many times..
I didnt see a ramp available for a twin cam on Fuel Moto, only M8s, and compensator eliminator kits. But I did see the baker 30T kit, does anyone have experience with this?
The Baker is a solid unit. I installed one in my previous 07 after I swapped the motor for a newer one from a 14 Street glide. It’s still running strong with close to 40000 miles on it , I sold it to a friend.
I didnt realize the stock comp sprocket was a 34T. I played with primary gearing on one of my FXRs years ago and learned that a one tooth change goes a long way on the front sprocket so now Im concerned that a 4 tooth drop on the bagger would be pretty drastic. Im sure it would be a little more fun stop light to stop light but in California we cruise on the freeway at 85+ which would be around 4k rpm in 6th gear. I could see maybe a 32T option but 30T might be too much on what I promised the wife would remain our long distance cruiser haha

Don't need the cam ramp.. The hole reason for the M8s needing one is that on M8s, they'd brake a part. I'd disassemble the comp and inspect.. I suspect that all it needs is a set of springs and adding a little preload.. You can reuse the small spring and cup it with the new small spring then add a comp spacer..
