Is it True about Heritage Springers?

Is it True about Heritage Springers?
I have a 97 Heritage Springer and for some reason or another I can’t pop the transmission into neutral when the bike is stopped. The only way I can put in neutral is when I’m rolling to a stop or if the bike is off. I heard that’s just the way Heritage Springer’s are. Has anyone heard of this before? Any other Heritage Springer owners out there with the same problem?

Been There, Done That
Try giving her a slight but quick twist of fuel and just as quick back her off, as soon as the rev's hit peak and start to return to idle you should be able to easily pop it up into neutral from first. As far as the rev goes; we're only talking a couple hundred rev's at the most. Just a quick jab. If you still can't get it into neutral after a few pratice tries then your clutch adjustment is most likely the problem. But, again, even with a clutch problem, in many cases neutral can be had useing the method I just wrote.
