Service Life
AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic SAE 190 and SAE 250 Gear Lubricants are intended for severe racing and other applications where extended drain intervals are not beneficial.

I would use the 75w110 or 85w140 if I were you. That oil is for drag racing differentials where it gets changed out all the time.

Sounds like good extreme stress oil, personally I would have though it to specialist for use in a Harley - not exactly the most stressful environment. If your going to give it a go - check regularly, be prepared to change to something less exotic.

APPLICATIONS

AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic SAE 190 and SAE 250 Gear Lubricants are excellent for severe differential applications, including off-road truck racing, rock racing, rock crawling, tractor pulling, funny car racing and dragster racing. Other severe duty applications include heavy duty trucks and equipment where increased lubricant film is necessary. These oils are recommended for use in hypoid gear differentials and other applications requiring a high viscosity, API GL-5 gear lube. Where limited slip performance is required, use AMSOIL Slip-LockÂŽ limited slip additive.

Service Life
AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic SAE 190 and SAE 250 Gear Lubricants are intended for severe racing and other applications where extended drain intervals are not beneficial. AMSOIL recommends changing the lubricant as conditions dictate. Where extended drain intervals are desired, AMSOIL recommends monitoring by oil analysis.

I use Amsoil Severe Gear 75 / 110 synthetic oil. Been using it for years. I had a 1990 Ultra Classic with with 170k on the bike. First transmission went at85k due to a failure in the trans case. The second transmison is still going with 90k. Good stuff.

I also runAmsoil MCV 20w 50 synthetic motor oil in my motor. Its costs more, but in the long run it will be the best way to go

Not saying it won't work, but seems a little overkill. The MCV oil or the 75W-110 gear lube have the viscosity range that is recommended by HD. There are added "tackifiers" in the 190 and 250. I don't have any on the shelf but I believe this stuff also comes in a green color, just FYI.

The earlier Series 2000 75w-90 also had the greenish/blue tint.Toby
