I am trying to solve a vibration problem with my 97 fxstc. The bike has 22k miles on it, i had new tires put on it @ 6k ago, for the past 2-300 miles i have started with a vibration, first on bars now on pegs, was told drive belt was too tight, adjusted ..no better, primary was loose, adjusted a little better...could the tight belt have harmed the transmission??? causing vibrations?
thanks'
Good info. is it the same as the 07's. What did it do to fuel mileage?
Haven't checked mileage yet. Probably won't be too accurate though. The 23/36 is much more responsive than the 25/36 and has led to an uncontrollable quick rotation of the throttle on numerous ocassions... followed by a big *** grin!
I did notice (as expected) that the RPM at speed went up. 3000 RPM used to get me low 80's... now it's high 70's which is still fine.
