Default Shovel clutch again!

Hi i posted recently regarding my shovels clutch .The clutch itself is working fine but when i pull the lever in to use the clutch the operating arm on top of the gearbox hits the gearbox lid thus giving me very little adjustment .Are there different arms available cranked at different angles so i can get more leverage at the handlebar end?If so could i purchase one and get it sent from a forum member paid for with Paypal and sent to the UK as a "gift" so i can avoid the import duty.Just trying to keep the shovel on the road.Hope somene can help. Thanks from Preston Lancashire UK.Phil.

I think you can adjust the arm back with the screw in the center of the clutch hub(behind the derby cover), then re-adjust with the threads on the cable

Sounds like you've got a rotary top transmission, better known as a cowpie transmission. Fitment was from 79-86. The arms for them are all the same. Only wear issue would be where the clutch cable end fits into the arm. It's recessed there for the barrel to fit in. If it was worn there it would have the opposite effect, it'd be further away from the top. I'd start where 11.sec says adjust the pushrod adjustment screw behind the derby cover. Check your clutch plates for wear while your at it. Loosen the lock nut and turn the screw to right will adjust the arm away from the cowpie. Just follow the manual, it's an easy job. Good Luck.
