Primary/Transmission/Driveline/ClutchFind answers to general powertrain, primary and transmission. Have clutch issues and need suggestions? Post them here.
Since my last post I've been running Redline MTL in the primary and Heavy Shockproof in the tranny. Anyway, still been having problems finding neutral.
Adjusted the clutch today, and with the bike cold it went in easy peasy, but once the bike warmed up I was back to the same old problem. Bike shifts great, but still have a really hard time finding neutral. Fluid level is right on, so don't think that's the problem.
My question: Since I was able to find neutral with the bike cold but had problems once it warmed up, what does that indicate? I backed the clutch adjuster screw out 1/2 turn after I had slight resistance -- should I have backed it out a full turn?
I've got to be getting close, but don't know which way to go to make the adjustment. Anyone have an idea what I should do next?
