The price is cheap compared to others, I would like to try them but would really like a referral. I don't want to go through setup and find out they are no good. I am hoping they are good. All others are $400-$500. Maybe someone will finally respond.

i re-did a setup for a friend, who had something like this, not sure if it was exactly ths setup but it sure looks like it... anyhow, i didnt like it at all, but i think it had to do with the power (amp), more so than the speakers... they did look pretty good on the bike though.

Please give more detail as to why you did not like it and do you think it was this unit? And AMP?

Thanks

well, to be fair to that product, there isnt too much as far as audio equipment that i do like (tht is spec. designed for bikes)...

the system did not sound good to me at all (sound quality wise) and he had come to me cause he had "blown" several speakers and replaced them (under warranty once) before getting tire and moving on. to be fair everything is relative to what you are looking to get outta any setup you put on it

and with his bike being a roadking, there were other options available that were suitable for his particular goal..

as far as the amp, before i took the setup off the bike i temp. hooked my amp to it and noticed an extreme difference in clarity and volume... i suspected the amp caused the speakers to blow based on him expecting to much outta the system and turning it up to loud (trying to get volume)...

i dont know if it was exactly this system, but it sure looks like it (the speakers were mounted on the crash bar and the amp in his bag... the speakers were in a chrome housing and kinda looked like fog lamps reversed toward you (if that makes any sense)...

i didn't really pay attention to the brand, sorry if my post is confusing, i am tired from working graves and have to go back in (a few hours from now)...

looking at the website, the price is cool, they advertise to be the best, obv. that isnt true, and there isnt much you should expect out of a $40 amp... when i am done with my setup, i may just buy a set and "test" it, but that wont be for a little while... if you do decide to get it, i am curious to know how you like it... people have different expectations or things that will satisfy them, (but i am much harder to satisfy, as you may probably tell by all the changes i have made and am making with my bike)...

i guess i may better be able to answer your question if i ask you what you are looking for (or what your expectation is for them)... i feel bad, i sure hope someone has a good review or another perspective to make this fair, i just personally didnt like that setup. i hope i have explained this well

Cool

I ordered this system 5 weeks ago...after a month I finally received the order...I then did a bench test.Wouldn't you know it.. the amp didn't work.
Sent that back ,and according to USPS tracking they received 4 days ago.Tried to call the company(MOTORCYCLE TUNES) many times over this 5 week period, same B.S. recording every time. The last 4 days I have sent Emails 4 times...no response. Also have been on their live chat line 3 times and waited approx 45 minutes each time and never got a response. They certainly do not have any communication skills, and poor business practices.I'll see what happens in the next few days, but at this point on a 1-10 scale they get a minus 10.

Default speakers

I haven't tried this brand but the setup the other poster is talking about, the reverse fog lights, are Rumble Roads. I have them on my heritage, they have internal amps and I drive them with my Zumo 550. The sound quality to me is very good and I get reasonable volume, I can hear them up to about 70mph. I have rush slipons on the heritage. Wish I could post a pic but camera and computer don't seem to like each other. Anyway don't know if this helps, also I paid about $250 and change for the speakers.

Cool Motorcycle Tunes

After a little more than a month and sending the first amp back..I now have the complete package. Set them up on my bench for a test...not very happy. The speakers have a very tinny sound if you turn them up as though you were on the highway.Certainly not worth the $279.00 I paid..Over all I'll give them a 5 rateing..as for the company,I certainly would not do business with them again.
