I'd like to hear from anyone who has WileyX goggles, in particular, those who wear them over Rx glasses. If there is anyone here who has Rx WileyX goggles, I'd really like to hear from you. I wear strong, far-sighted Rx glasses, and seems to me if I can get Rx goggles, I'd be all set. Thanks.
I just had a pair of WileyX glasses converted to perscription. So far I like them but they do have some distortion due to the curvature of the lens. They were expensive (280.00) but I think worth it.
Been usin a pair of thier ballistics for bout a year. Their not supposed to fog up, but they do, often. Usually have to pull them down to the bridge of my nose till they clear up. Could be im keeping them too tight, or my eyes are toodeep in my skull. lol Constantly replacing thier lenses as they scratch very easily, but i do expect quite a bit out of them. I use them for riding too when im home, but the afformentioned fogging still applies. Could probably find better for less than the $130.00 i spent.
Summary: Thier tough, replacement parts are readily available, and they are all-around great goggles, when you can see out of them.[8D]
I just bought a set of Wiley-X that I can't wear because of the shape of my face. There is no padding on the frame, just around the eyecups, and the hard plastic frame doesn't fit the shape of the bridge of my honker. My wife took them and loves them, though.
Moral of the story--before you buy an expensive pair of glasses, try them on.
The army supplied wiley x non px glasses to my son prior to his deployement to iraq supposed to wear over his px glasses he got an extra pair I had them done in his px but he was nearsighted ,told me he was very happy with em..
I also had the Wileys issued before I went to Iraq but none of the places I took them to get the RX could cut lenses due to my perscription - I had crappy vision at the time but since then had the LASIK.
I don't need a script, but can attest to the WileyX glasses that form fit with foam. They don't jiggle or lift when you turn your head. My eyes are very infra-red snsitive and the glasses do the trick besides being cool.
im wearin mine right now......they come with a nice headband so it fits snug under the helmet, i like them so far. i also have another pair of wileyx sunglass prescriptions that are real nice too.
