Take a look at equipment from Big Agnes. Great stuff. https://www.bigagnes.com/
Someone mentioned REI. Rei is a great resource. They carry the Big Agnes equipment.
Check the Sportsmans Guide web site. They buy overstock and non current items and sell them on line or out of the warehouse off 494. I got a smokin deal on a new Kelty tent for $70 a couple years ago. They also have a wide variety of other gear for very affordable prices. Packing cooking gear can be a PIA. I tend to bring utensils and a plate. I buy food I can cook over a file on a grate or stick. Fruit for breakfast -maybe I'm a little lazy that way...
Several friends and I bought these one man military tents and we are all very pleased with them. The link is just an example and I am not promoting anybody's sale.
At Sturgis this year everybody stayed dry through several heavy rain storms. I packed a thick twin size air mattress which fits in it very nice and was very comfortable sleeping. Doors on both side allow for cross ventilation. Fast and easy to erect.
If you have not bought your tent yet, measure the length of your saddle bag and compare it to the collapsed length of the tent poles of the model you like at the store.. Its a nice option to be able to carry them in the bag.
