Awesome trip, pic's tell most of the story and you are filling in nicely. Would love to have the time to venture out like this.

What was the shipping cost to send your bike back?

Very cool. Enjoyed the photography and narrative.

A lot of those roads look familiar. I'm sure we crossed tire tracks somewhere.

Unfortunately not at Pike's Peak. We got turned away by freezing rain, hail and lightening - yes in August.

Do you have more pics after Vegas?

I went with Federal Transport and it was about $780 to my driveway from Glendale, CA. I dropped it off at Glendale Harley and they handled the pickup. They were a HUGE help, Good people working there.

I was surprised how the weather was there. Found it pretty crazy how the weather was so bad at times, then 10 miles down the road (and down the mt) the sun would be out.

Here are the last of the pics. I was planning to leave Vegas on Sunday before Labor day but the friend who flew into Vegas to meet me missed her flight home Sunday morning so we just stayed another night and had to leave Monday.

Tried to get an early start but as soon as I pulled out of the hotel I noticed one of the saddle bags was loose so I had to stop by the dealership to get a bolt because one fell out somewhere. If these is one thing I will NEVER do again, it's leave Las Vegas on the last day of a holiday weekend. Traffic was the worst I have ever seen. To add to that temps were 106 degrees and the temp on the bike read about 115. I should have packed water (but didn't), Was stuck in traffic for about 20 min with not a store or exit in sight on I-15. Started to get dizzy and light headed (drinking all the beer the day before must have had me even more dehydrated) I needed water. I just took my chances and split lanes for the next 15 miles or so until I got to a store. It was a challenge just to get into the store parking lot. There was cars EVERYWHERE. People were parking on the side of the road and walking across the desert just to get to a store, Some were throwing footballs. Craziest thing I've ever seen. Ended up hanging out at a casino next to the store for a little while until things died down a little.

Yeah, I-15 out of Vegas is as bad as it gets. Horrible.

But in the end, very cool trip. The Pacific is a nice pay off.
