we are coming from the north on blue ride pky to Maggie valley for the night what the best way around\through? Ashville? I think we will not have much time left in the day to stop in Asheville so like to just get around it...stay right on Blue ridge pky? I heard the best part BRP is the west side of Asshville ?

Yes you can stay on BRP down to RT 23 which will bring you in from the east end. Or stay on to RT 19 from the west end. BRP in that area just N of Asheville and South of Asheville is probably the best portion. Known as the "high peaks area". You can also Sneak down on Rt 276 which isn't a bad road either. BRP can be crowded at rush hr because a lot of people use it as a short cut near rt25 and 74. It's not that bad though

You could try Pisgah Inn it's on the parkway just south of asheville. www.pisgahinn.com

While Asheville is a nice spot I would highly recommend Maggie Valey or Waynesville. Both are nice and close to great riding and Maggie Valley has the Wheels through Time museum, which is a must see! Waynesville also has a great HD dealership.
