Oh yeah, if you do make the side trip the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir you will have to pay the Yosemite National Park entrance fee as the reservoir is inside Yosemite National Park. Make sure you save your receipt because after existing Hetch Hetchy on your way to Yosemite Valley you can use it to get through the Yosemite north gate with out paying the Yosemite entrance fee twice as long as you do it on the same day. The entrance fee paid at any of the gates will get you in and out through any of the other gates as long as you save the receipt and do it on the same day, if that makes sense...... LOL.

Thanks Mountain. We purchased a National Park pass, forget what its called. Good for 1 year. Will that suffice?
For all of you who are 62 or older, the national parks also issue a 'senior pass". You pay a one time fee, I think it is now about $20 and for that you get free admission to all national parks and other federal recreation areas for the rest of your life.
Also, if you pay the admission price to one national park, you can get into other national parks for a week without paying an additional fee. Hold onto your receipt and just show it to the ranger at the entrance gate.
