rode it this summer after the Dragon. Thoroughly enjoyed this route, much more of a ride than the Dragon IMHO.

 

From now (I would imagine the leaves are just starting) till the ice/snow closures are my favorite riding time in this area.

Rode it 4 times in the past 6 weeks. Would love to do it one more time as the colors are starting to pop around 4000 feet now.

 

Just spent 2 weeks up there. Going back in a month.
Loved the area so much I bought land in 06 and have been playing part time tree farmer, builder and biker since then.

 

 

Just rode the Cherohala fron NC to Tellico Plains, TN on 10-12-15. I then u-turned and rode it back to NC. Colors not quite perfect. Left central NC on monday rode NC, TN and GA mountains home on Thursday. Enjoyed 1,218 mile of mountain bliss.
