Leaving out this morning heading to Charleston to see my grandson graduate from a navy school. Then heading to myrtle beach for 3 days. Looking for some good places to eat some fresh seafood. Never been to SC before. TIA

Any restaurant there...except Dick's. It's more of a tourist trap.

My Fiancee went to school down there. I'll have to ask her this evening.

LDB187, be aware that M.B. is not as biker friendly as you would like. Many motels and hotels say "NO MOTORCYCLES ALLOWED" , so book your room making them aware that you are on a bike. Learned the hard way last August.

Don't forget to check House of Blues; never know who's playing there...

I'm going down in 2 weeks as part of spring bike week. Most of the hotels know where their money comes from and are biker friendly. I usually stay in North Myrtle Beach at Beach Cove Resort. They set up and area in their garage just for cycles and also make a bike wash area available with a hose, bucket and towels. There are too many good places to eat. Avoid the chain restaurants simply because you can eat them back home or anywhere else. Above all have fun!

If you are just coming to town for a non-bike week, then Murrells Inlet is the place for seafood. If they are in season, months that have an "r", Nance's is the place for steamed oysters. The Hot Fish Club is slightly more refined and has an excellent cabana bar out back.

If you need any other help let me know. I've been living here for a while and visiting even longer.

Go down to Murrells Inlet to the Wicked Tuna. Crab cakes are the best! Drunken Jacks is good also.

Got back last Saturday and had a good time at MB. No problems and light traffic. Didn't have computer so couldn't check all of the suggestions. Wish I had of. I think I like going during the "off" season from what the locals say.
