Plan on all kinds of weather in the same day.
Mornings 60F, afternoons in the high 80's.
Fog is common in the early morning and can make visibility terrible.
Rain likely at some point.
If you wear an open face then consider some kind of face protection in case of rain..a shield would be nice.
There are generally no road lights so some folks ride from about 8:30 or 9am to about 5pm.
Signage is bad or missing in many areas so keep in mind distance between points.
Never ride near center line as many folks cut corners in the mountains.
Do not push speed limits but instead just enjoy the view/ride.
