The boss said we have to stop in Nashville for one night. From there we will head south to visit Mr.JD for a few hours
You will love the JD tour... worth it very much so. If you are coming down hwy 24 to Nashville take the Briley PKWY around town... save you some headaches, you can get some good deals on hotels on that side of the river.
You can actually get a chance to ride the best part of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Take it south out of Nashville down to hwy 64, head east and take 50 back to Lynchburg. That is a nice ride.

Check out this web site; https://roadtrippers.com/ I've been planning a trip for a couple months now and leaving Thursday to meet my brother in Tennessee. When you are looking at the map view, in the upper left corner is a tool to turn on various items you want it to show on the map, be sure to scroll and check "motoring" and it will show you all kinds of cool riding roads. There's also accommodations, attractions-culture, food, outdoor-recreation, points of interest, vacation rentals, camping, entertainment, services, shopping, and sports. Only turn on what you need or the map will overload you with stuff. It takes a bit to figure this out, but once you do you'll have all kinds of places to see and ride.
If you leave Fontana dam, take 28 south all the way to Franklin, then go just west of town on old Murphy rd. Then take 1310 i think... It's called Wayah rd, stop mid way in Aquone At Lakes end rentals for a nice break and lunch... You can thank me later, it's a loop worth taking, nice 55 mph curves and sweepers, couple waterfalls... You can also go further south on 28 but I like to come back in Wayah rd.. One of those hidden gem... Look at it on google maps or google earth.
Biltmore Estate, Fontana Dam, Dragon, Moonshiner 28, Falls by the Ranger station of Cherohola Skyway, Thunder Mountain Store (you could see Jeff or Jim Tom from Moonshiners)
Wow...it's like you stole the pics right out of my phone!
