When I rode MDH 3 or 4 years ago, it was freshly chipped with mostly loose gravel chips. All the way into Oury.

The rally in Ignacio isn't worth visiting since they moved it from the town and into the fairgrounds.
Durango is always enjoyable.

The rally in Ignacio has not been worth it since 2000 when the tribe decided to take the operations contract away from Tres Rio and Colorado ABATE( volunteer and non profit with proceeds going to charity) and giving it to a private for profit individual that ran it in the ground and left the country owing money to everyone he did business with. I was a member of the board of directors during the good years, and the last year we did the rally we had an arm band count of over 45,000, and a huge number of vendors. It's not like that now for sure.
