Mojave Desert run-please advise
I am taking a trip from L.A. to Laughlin tomorrow on my '07 Road King. I never tried it this time of year, Laughlin high temp is expected to be 106-108, so I'm leaving L.A. at 5am to get there by 9:30-10am. Forecast shows temps at that time to be 93 or so.
I really could use any additional advice from anyone who has made similar runs thru the desert. Thanks.

+1 what GNrider said.
Hydrate well. (Read that three more times, it's important!). Oh, and sandstorms will make you hurt later, and can erode your paint! Pull over, they don't last long. Usually.
