First thing this morning I took the Ultra in for service.
The bald rear tire survived another 43 miles.
I was hoping to hit 100,000 before needing new tires, but it wasn't meant to be.
Once home from the dealership it was time to saddle up and ride the Night Rod. I met a few friends and we headed over to Iowa, via Savanna.
We stopped in Savanna for lunch. I had a hankering for ice cream, for some reason.
One of the rides isn't in the pic....it wasn't black, so it didn't fit in anyway....lol.
We traveled up 52, from Sabula to Dubuque. From there we went through Galena, rode a bit of Stage Coach Trail, then headed down to 20 and zipped on home.
Hopefully the Ultra will be done by Friday. I'm off work starting next Friday, through the following week, so it'd be nice to have the Ultra back, and get the wife out for a ride.....of course, weather permitting.
Tomorrow starts my vacation, 10 days with no work. I'm hoping the weather cooperates and I, we, the wife and I, get some miles put on. We haven't decided on a destination, but sometimes it's good to just go with the flow. I guess time will tell. Crossing my fingers for good weather.

Here you go… Now you don’t have to think about destination anymore… Just the route… It’s only a few days south/west Of where you live
If you’re going to just stand on a corner… Doesn’t get any better than this

So here it is Saturday May 29th, and at 8:24am it's a balmy 45 degrees. WTF?
We still have no idea where we are headed. I've checked the weather in several directions, and it seems rain is very prominent....go figure. North just brings cooler temps, and that will not work with the wife on board.
I guess we'll mount up and start riding and turn away from rain clouds.
