Hope the weekend weather cooperates and you get in a ride. I have no complaints about the way this vacation played out, but its gonna be tough getting up, and staying up tomorrow morning. I've gone back to bed more days than not in the past week.....and I liked it.

Tomorrow is the first Friday Rideday of fall. Looks to be a bit cool in the morning. Jacket weather for sure. Night Rod weather is fading, so I may have to gear up and take it for a ride tomorrow.

It was breezy today, and a jacket was required, when I left, but it did warm up a bit, and I eventually got chased home, from Iowa, by rain clouds. All in all it was a good day, and a good first ride of fall.

Night Rod weather is winding down.

Savanna IL.

Lunch, along the Mighty Mississippi.

The dam in Bellevue Iowa.

A little closer view.

Looking north.

Another view of my lunch spot.

A long and lonesome highway east of Omaha.

Bellevue State Park.

An overlook.

Bellevue and the Mississippi River down below.

The clouds that chased me home, from Bellevue. It rained about 20 minutes after I got home.

I probably would have gotten wet, had I stopped for fuel.

Somehow this plug backed out of my header pipe. I'm sure it should be easy to find a replacement for a 14 year old Vance and Hines header....right? I was east of Savanna when my exhaust note changed.

That was it. I dont stop at many restaurants these days, when I'm solo. Now, if I could find a KFC with inside dining, I'd probably stop....lol.

The more I travel, cage or bike, the more I like a thermos of coffee, a sandwich & a bag of chips from the 7-Eleven… I always take my collapsible chair and a couple of bottles of water… I lost my taste for road side restaurants quite a while ago.
