Last holiday of summer was pretty awesome. Weather was perfect. We headed out at noon and wandered over to Le Claire Iowa, then stopped at Olathea Creek Winery, which is just north of there. We rode 67 north to Sabula Iowa, then crossed back into Illinois and headed home.
Pic of the recently washed bike, prior to starting a new bug collection. Our customary pre-ride selfie. First pit stop. I know how to make the wife happy she came along. A glass of wine, a new coozie and of course, a new tshirt. Oh, and a second glass of wine. Pretty good ride, just within the wife's happy zone, mileage wise.
Here are some shots of me riding the Night Rod through the twisties at Starved Rock State Park this last weekend. Apparently someone there's an outfit called Ride the Rock taking photos and posting them for sale online. I'll probably buy a couple, as I don't have any shots of myself riding the Night Rod.
you are a better photographer... much better pictures... hope the ones you buy are more clear... when we get together, we will shoot each other... I mean take pictures of each other... I dont have a gun, where as you seem to have one most of the time... home, work.. you know... I hear you get to practice at work also...
It would be nice if there was some motion blur in the pics, to give a sense of speed / movement. These were shot at iso 500 at 1/1250 at f9. Not exactly how I'd do it, but I can't shoot myself.....lol.

500?? What the hell for I wouldve stepped that down, opened the lens wide, and then paned the shot while auto bracketing.
Got in about 3.5 hours of therapy today, and really never went anywhere in particular. I am off all next week and hope every day is as nice as today was.
Headed out at noon today, but this time on the Ultra. I wandered up into Wisconsin, until it looked like rain. I headed back down into Illinois where the sun was still shining and decided to go to Iowa. It clouded up again, but it never looked as bad as it did in Wisconsin. I ended up being out for 6 hours, and found three roads I've never been on....which gets harder and harder for me to do. I have this week off, so there may beca couple more rides happening.
