Default Adventures with the “Scorpios”

March 28, 2018.

An excursion today to Mahogany Bay. It is a 60 acre resort and one of the newest developments on the island.

This is the beach bar, pool and spa. Best bring a wallet full of cash to stay here!

Condos are built around the resort on man made canals and are for sale starting at $300,000 US.

The bar and patio area.

The pool area facing the lagoon.

A quick stop at Pirates Pub & Cafe. Another beach bar on the way back to our apartment.

A nice beach area for the sun worshippers.

Yesterday we decided to take an excursion south of San Pedro town and visit one of the newest resort developments on the island. A very modern development with condos built around man made lagoons on the west side of the island. We stopped and had a drink at the bar and did a short tour of the site. If you want a Mahogany Bay guided tour get your wallet out as they wanted $25 US person! We opted out of that!

This could possibly be one of our last posts from Ambergris Caye and Belize as we are starting to prepare to head back to Canada in two weeks. Of course if we come across something interesting we will be sure to share it. We have really enjoyed our stay here out of the cold of winter back home, but as always looking forward to getting back and prepare for the riding season. I will say I have really missed the Harley and our man cave, and sharing many stories with our friends.

Thank you for following along with us on our adventures. We hope you have enjoyed them!

Happy Easter to all!

Cheers, Terry

It will be tough to leave this beautiful view!

Sunrise over the Caribbean Sea.

Looking forward to this when we get home!

Just a few more days left here in paradise and then back to Canada. We have really enjoyed wintering here in Belize.
Hopefully we can bring back some warm weather and sunshine!

Let the riding season begin!

Cheers, Terry

Hey folks!
We sure appreciate all the following that we have.
Sorry we havent posted lately, but we are about to start up again.
Tomorrow we have a trip planned with our group to Michigan in the USA across the border from us. A day trip and ferry ride to a Harley dealership (Wolverine) and then for some awesome ribs at “Biggs” on Gratiot Ave.
I definitely will post some pictures!

Thanks again and cheers!

Default Adventures with the “Scorpios”

August 11, 2018.

As promised here are the pictures from our adventure to Michigan yesterday.
An absolute beautiful day for a ride!

Stopped at the swing bridge to get onto Walpole Island about 25 miles south of Sarnia. On the island there is a car ferry to the United States.

Walpole Island car ferry.

Loaded onto the ferry and heading across the St. Clair river to Algonac, Michigan.

View from the ferry looking downriver.

First stop at Wolverine Harley Davidson on Gratiot Avenue north of Detroit. Wolverine is the largest Harley parts distributor in North America.

Another view from outside of Wolverine.

Another view of the street out in front of Wolverine.

Second stop was BIGG’S Bar & Grill on Gratiot Ave. Excellent rib special here with ice cold $1 Bud lights.

A very popular spot where bikers gather.

Third stop was Johnny Legas Bar & Grill just south of Algonac Michigan. Here they are known for their Srodek’s Spicy Polish Mustard. The ladies purchased a few jars to bring home.

A view from outside the bar.

Johnny Legas is on the shore of Lake St. Clair and is accessible by boat. Although we did not eat here it is also Bar & grill with excellent food.

On the ferry from Algonac Michigan to Walpole island back in Canada. A view here of Russell Island and the St. Clair river.

Default Adventures with the “Scorpios”

August 17, 2018.

Our latest adventure from the last 4 days at our friends cottage on Kennisis Lake in Northern Ontario.

Glen and I heading out for a morning of fishing.

Back with the catch of the morning. A nice feed of small mouth bass..

A tour of the lake the next day to view all the beautiful cottages.

Our little guy “Cosmo Kramer” on the lookout as we tour the shorelline.

Default Adventures with the “Scorpios”

August 20, 2018.

Our adventure this past weekend took us to Harsens Island at the mouth of Lake St. Clair on the southern portion of the St. Clair river separating Canada and the USA.
We took two car ferries to get there and went to “Browns Bar & Grill” on the middle channel. Then a trip along the US shore heading north. After a brief stop at the “Junction Buoy” restaurant we crossed back into Canada at the Bluewater Bridges.
Another awesome weather day for riding.
Attached are the pics from the day. Enjoy!

Arrival at “Browns” on Harsen Island, USA.

Entrance to Browns.

A very popular summer spot with water access from the St. Clair river middle channel.

Another photo at the edge of the docking area.

On the way back north at the “Junction Buoy” restaurant on the St. Clair river.

A view from the US side of the river of the Shell Refinery where I worked for 27 years.
