Well the weather did not cooperate, arrived in Phoenix jumped on an Uber to Scottsdale HD...after paying thousands of dollars for my rental...$5000.00 for security and such..I headed back to my hotel. Next morning had a hearty breakfast and met up with 2 of my buddies....took 87 to Peyson...road were dry but snow on the ground must have been 45 degrees....froze my *** off.....stopped at the local Dunkin’ Donuts for fresh HOT coffee and a couple of chocolate donuts....warmed up a bit and took off for Strawberry. Yea, weather still cold....road we’re dry...next stop Camp Verde....another quick stop then unto Sedona and 89A....had late lunch by the time we knew it was dark..headed back to Phoenix.
Sunday, late breakfast the onto N Cave Creek road....to the Horny toad...we were 4 bikes plus two other souls who ventured out....it was cold wet and did I say cold.....had some food a few beers and on forward to Bartlett Reservoir...that road was amazing....did I say it was cold.....
Sunday....did the Tortilla Flats road what a road, just beautiful....the 60 to Roosevelt lake and back home....
just wished the weekend was a bit warmer....
The rental after insurance was about $600...but I had to put $5000.00 on my credit card above and beyond my rental fee.....it was refunded, but I was not happy about it....
