Going in 3 weeks to the Dragon for the 1st time. Will be 700 miles each way for us. I have reservations @ Deals Gap motorcycle resort. Looking for recommendations on places to see while there. There seems to be plenty of recommendations for nearby places to ride already; so im asking more about bars, restaurants, tourist attractions etc... Anyone know if this resort has a bar in it?

You have to ride the Dragon while your there, do the moonshiner and Cherahola. A lot of great roads and scenery. If you want a challenge take Rt 151 south from Candler NC, to the Blue Ridge Parkway. You mess up on that road and they may never find you!
Been there several times and love it, matter of fact I love doing all the rides there. Ive seen bears in trees and on our deck, elk around the Cherokee area. Lost a little money at the Casio too. I stayed in Townsend and used the parkway to the Dragon. Amateur racer of hair scrambles, moto-x and flat track, I like to push the limits of my King thru the turns, Im guilty pulling up on the back fenders of slower riders, Sorry. But understand that some of us rode a long way for a burst of adrenaline and will ride behind you maybe letting you know we are there, so pull onto the pull offs and let faster riders pass. Point..... Ride within your limits, stay in your lane including your upper body parts leaning thru the corners, check your mirrors occasionally and use the pull offs if a faster rider is behind you, usually pulling up on and then backing off is a sure sign. Your slaying the Dragon isn't the same as mine or the next guy or gals. You want to look at the trees this isn't the road for you. Oh and the TN State Police are serious about speed limits on the Dragon with usually two patrols on the weekends.
Last time we where there rode it loaded and in the rain, we had 2 bikes fly past us and then we heard scraping and tires sure enough meet Police and rescue squads we stopped up the road and they believe the bikes went off the road they where searching for them. We where able to give the descriptions of the bikes but never heard the outcome.

Deals Gap resort has a grill (Dragons Den Grill) standard bar food, burgers etc... I have eaten lunch there several times, the burgers are good especially since there are really no other options really close. The serve breakfast but their hours are 8am-6pm except Friday and Saturday when they stay open till 7pm. Not really a bar but the grill does have several beers on tap and they are cold, however they enforce a 2 drink limit which is understandable. If you are staying there I would definitely suggest bringing your own drinks if you are looking to hang out and have a few drinks at night after riding because the grill will close at 6 or 7pm and there is really no restaurants/ bars close by. I have never stayed at the "Resort" but it appears to be 15 or so bare bones motel rooms with nothing else really close by
As far as tourist attractions etc... search of these forums or google the area will give you tons of choices. As far as nearby places to ride, without going into detail and listing them the choices are really unlimited there is not a bad choice of roads anywhere around that area. Wheels through time in Maggie Valley is well worth your time to visit https://wheelsthroughtime.com/ keep in mind they are not open on Tues and Weds

Thank you buddy! Yeah you hit on what I was getting at. I have the riding portion of our week pretty much planned out for the most part; lots of info available on that. Im trying to plan our non-riding time there. We do have reservations to stay there @ the Deals Gap Resort and me and my girl do like to drink & party. Making beer/liquor runs during the day and bringing back to the room "shouldnt" be too much a problem; though my gal is gonna give me a lot of **** if I leave her locked up in the room each night instead of taking her out eat, drink, dancing etc. Is there anything per say that we can uber or taxi too thats worthwhile? Also if its as dry a county as it sounds, am I even able to get liquor or just beer?
Just to share a laugh w ya and let ya know the grief ya caused.... I relayed your msg to my girl that where we are staying has a 2 drink limit. Damn did I hear an earful
On a small subject jump ive seen some pics floating around of bikes outside what appears to be a harley dealership sign but Ive also seen a couple posts that says its not really a dealership but more an HD shirt and souvenir shop. Can anyone clarify what it actually is? I want to look up directions and not sure if Im looking for a full dealership or something else entirely and how far it is from the deals gap resort.
